While my current clinical practice focuses primarily on medication management for psychiatric concerns, medications are only one component of a comprehensive treatment plan. During our sessions, we will explore the role of medication and evaluate whether additional therapeutic interventions may also be beneficial for your care.
-
To ensure that my practice is the right fit for your needs, I begin with a brief, complimentary introductory phone call. This initial conversation is intended to allow me to get an understanding of your treatment objectives and does not constitute a formal patient-doctor relationship. If we determine that working together is appropriate, we will proceed to schedule a comprehensive intake assessment.
The intake evaluation involves an in-depth discussion of your current symptoms, as well as your psychiatric, medical, developmental, and social history. We will also explore other factors impacting your mental health. While every case is unique, we generally conclude this assessment by establishing a tailored treatment plan. Once we have mutually agreed upon this plan, our formal physician-patient relationship begins.
After formalizing our initial treatment plan, we will typically meet at regular intervals for follow-up appointments to assess for treatment response. These follow up visits are important so that I can assess efficacy and tolerance of medications, review necessary lab work, as well as giving us the opportunity to discuss adjustments in the plan if indicated. The frequency of these visits varies from 1-2x/week to once every 3 months depending on a variety of factors, including the severity of your symptoms, complexity of your overall presentation, and the need for additional testing or medication adjustments.

My practice is currently conducted exclusively via telehealth. These virtual appointments allow me to extend my services to patients residing anywhere within the state of California.

Clinical decisions and questions are best addressed during our scheduled appointment. For minor clarifications, such as dosing questions, side effects, or medication refills, I prefer messaging through the online patient portal. I typically return messages and phone calls within 1-2 business days, provided I am not away from the office as noted in my voicemail or automated message. If a query involves significant medical evaluation or decision-making, I will request that we schedule a formal appointment so we can discuss treatment recommendations thoroughly.
-
Brief tasks or inquiries that I can address within a few minutes during regular business hours are typically handled without a fee. However, if a request necessitates more than 5 minutes of attention or requires significant effort outside of my standard working hours, it will be billed at the rate documented in the ‘Services & Rates’ section.

Scheduled appointments represent time dedicated exclusively to your care. To respect this commitment and accommodate other patients who may be waiting for an opening, I require at least two business days' notice for any cancellations. Failure to provide the necessary two business days of notice will result in a charge for the full session fee. Note: If your appointment is scheduled for Monday at 1pm, this means that you should contact me by Thursday at 1pm.
